The International Table Tennis Federation Foundation is committed to creating a better world

The International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF) Foundation signed the pledge during the Association of International Sport for All (TAFISA) World Congress on June 9, 2022.

Together with 17 other international sports organisations, the signatories seek to contribute to the objectives of the main European and international policy documents.

In addition, strive to create opportunities and easy, safe and inclusive access to participation in sport for all, including physical activities and physical education at all levels.

The ITTF Foundation believes that sport for all is a fundamental right and that sport brings about positive social change. We must set an example for our stakeholders, internationally, nationally and regionally. Only if we commit to promoting sport for all can we inspire others to do the same.

The ITTF Foundation has been joined by the World Pilates Confederation, World Frisbee Federation, World Minigolf Sport Federation, International Fistball Association, International Tchoukball Federation, International Taekwondo Federation, International Federation of sports dance, the Federazione Boccistica Internationale, among others.

Sport for all in a changing world

The INTERACT (International and European Sport Organizations Activating Citizens) project helps international sports organizations to develop their Sport for All activities and increase public participation.

It aims to support and position ISOs as key leaders in the sport for all and physical activity movement – developing innovative ways to engage stakeholders and citizens at all geographic levels.

INTERACT is co-funded by the Erasmus+ program of the European Union with an inspiring and inclusive programme.

The mission was reiterated at the International Sports Organization’s Go Grassroots Congress session.

While international sports organizations undoubtedly play a crucial role in creating a better world through sport for all, the discussion at the congress session focused on the importance of the grassroots approach.

International sports organizations are encouraged to leverage their broad reach to inspire, innovate and adapt, maximize accessibility for all in sports at the grassroots level, as well as create a platform to exchange ideas and communicate progress.

Participating organizations such as the International Tchoukball Federation, the Badminton World Federation and the International Cycling Union (UCI) were also invited to present their work, demonstrating sport for all and the link between sport and sustainability in all its forms.
