Lane change, planned signal work on Green Valley Road

The El Dorado County Department of Transportation, in conjunction with Blue Mountain Communities and Lund Construction Company, will implement lane changes and intermittent traffic control along Green Valley Road at its intersection with Pleasant Grove Middle School . Work will begin on Monday June 13 and will take place every day from Monday to Saturday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. until Saturday July 9. One-way traffic control may be intermittently in place and a lane change may be in place for the duration of the works. .

Motorists should be aware of large trucks entering or exiting the roadway and should follow the direction of flaggers or traffic controls when present. Motorists attempting to access Pleasant Grove Middle School during this time are encouraged to approach the intersection toward Silva Valley Parkway (from the west) and use a straight-to-the-right orientation along the along Green Valley Road southbound.

Motorists are urged to slow down in the work zone and expect delays during construction. Motorists are also advised to allow extra time when passing through the construction zone in order to arrive at their destination on time or to use alternate routes to avoid the construction zone.
