Celebrated annually on April 26 for nearly a decade, World Pilots Day honors the men and women who keep passengers flying safely in the skies.

World Pilots Day was born through the efforts of the Turkish Airline Pilots Association to honor Fesan Evrensev, the first Turkish pilot, who made his maiden flight on April 26, 1912.
