Many local and national organizations have trained students for careers in the construction industry and helped them discover options available to them to pursue higher education, including trades school, on-going training. employment or college education. Experts say this career fair is vital as there is currently a 35% shortage of welders and a 42% shortage of trade professionals as a whole.

With the significant downturn in the job market, Construction Careers Day seeks to provide mentorship from professionals who truly exemplify successful careers in the industry. Seeing this can give students the opportunity to learn more about niche careers they may not have experienced before today.
